Our vineyard is located on the northeast portion of Middle Fork Farm, a 300-acre farm previously used for cattle and hay. In 2013 we planted 6000 vines on approximately eight acres with Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec and Pinot Gris. In 2014 we we planted an additional two acres with Chardonnay, Cab Franc, and Viognier. This spring we will add more merlot.
We have vertical shoot positioning (VSP) trellis with north/south rows to maximize the vines exposure to the sun. Our vines have developed healthy root systems and we expect good production from our vigorous silt loam soil. We will have our first harvest in fall of 2015, which will be followed by the opening of our winery, tasting room and farm store.
